Kenny Troyer Named Crew Chief of the #22

The 2009 season is shaping up for Chuck Hossfeld and his race team. Kenny Troyer has been named the crew chief of the #22 Jerry Gradl Motors Modified. For the last few seasons, Kenny was the leader of the "Drunken Monkey's" #66 modified driven by Bill Hebing. Troyer is 9th on the all-time modified winners list at Dunn Tire Raceway Park and has a wealth of knowledge regarding modified racing in WNY.

Kenny is a huge addition to an already great team. Don Ryerse, an employee at Troyer Engineering as well as former modified team owner, will be back for the '09 season. He has a wide-array of knowledge about modifieds and is a big part of the team. Henry Ketch, a longtime crew member, Dave Harris, the tire specialist, Jeff Guidotti, Steve Harris, Greg Aumann and Matt Wedge all together bring Hossfeld the help he needs to get the #22 in victory lane.

Plans for the 2009 season are somewhat up in the air right now as far as the schedule is concerned. Chuck has many things going on that will be brought up in the upcoming articles. The definite dates for the #22 car include the US Open, ROC at Oswego as well as the week before, and the 8/14 show at Spencer. Chuck is planning on racing at DTRP, but isn't sure how many times. It is close to home and the main goal in going there is to have fun.

Please check back for more updates and announcements.

Thanks,

Mike Hossfeld
